Job Description

As an E-commerce Data Entry Specialist, you’ll be the backbone of their online operations, ensuring their beautiful furniture products are perfectly presented to customers. This position offers the perfect blend of technical e-commerce work and creative product presentation, allowing you to develop valuable Shopify expertise while contributing to a company’s digital transformation. You’ll work in a flexible, remote environment where your contributions are valued and your professional growth is supported.

Responsibilities

  • Upload new products to the Shopify website, including titles, descriptions, images, pricing, and variants
  • Write or edit product descriptions to reflect brand tone and improve SEO.
  • Optimize product images (resizing, renaming, and formatting).
  • Organize products into correct categories and collections.
  • Update and maintain existing product listings as needed.
  • Monitor for errors or inconsistencies and correct them promptly.
  • Ensure all product details (dimensions, materials, colours, inventory, vendor info) are accurate and consistent.
  • Collaborate with the buying and marketing teams to ensure product launches are timely and accurate.
  • Maintain consistency and quality across all product descriptions and specifications
  • Support the expansion of the online product catalogue through systematic data management
  • Ensure product information is optimised for customer experience and search functionality


Requirements


  • Hands-on experience with the Shopify platform (basic to intermediate level preferred)
  • Strong data entry capabilities with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written English communication skills for professional correspondence
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and personal computer equipment
  • Availability for part-schedule with flexibility to increase hours during peak periods
  • Interest in e-commerce and potential for growth into advanced platform functions
