Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist the Pastors and Chairpersons who are overseeing the ministries of Children (CM), Discipleship & Nurture (D&N), and Mission, to strategize, plan and organise relevant programs in line with the church strategic directions.

2. Provide pastoral leadership and care to, and nurture of church members in their relevant journeys as part of Children, D&N, Missions ministries.

3. Participate in the corporate life and activities of the church, for the fulfilment of the abovementioned ministries’ objectives. Be involved in church services when appointed to do so, by the Pastor-in-Charge.

4. Assist in resourcing and when necessary, developing CM, D&N, Missions materials and curricula for the ministries’ purposes on request. Provide training to equip leaders and relevant members, with regards to CM, D&N and Missions, when necessary.

5. Organisation of necessary events for the bonding, team building of members of the ministries of CM, D&N and Missions.

6. Assist the CM, D&N, Missions Chairpersons in the administration and running of the relevant programs.

7. The LES may have to coordinate with external agencies to effect the ministries of CM, D&N and Missions, from time to time.

8. To continually evaluate the CM, D&N, Missions needs of the church and to improve/change existing programs/procedures and identify new opportunities/ areas to strengthen the church strategic thrust in these areas.

9. Provide care and support to the members of the CM, D&N and Missions ministries. Encouraging all to pray for the work of these ministries, within the church.

10. Though the LES will need to plan, communicate and prepare for ministry during Office Hours, the LES should also be prepared to facilitate ministry activities on certain evenings and weekends, whenever necessary. Any involvement beyond the required 5½ day week will be compensated accordingly with time-off or a day off-in-lieu, in the following week.

11. Any other duties assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Work Week & Requirements:

You are expected to work on Saturdays and Sundays, and a weekday off is given in compensation.

Requirements:

• Qualification – Minimum of a theological certificate from a recognised seminary or equivalent preferred.

• Experience - At least 1 year of relevant ministry experience preferred.

• Special Aptitude - The LES should have good organisational, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, and be a team player who possesses a strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
