Purpose of the Role Cargo and Marine Liability senior claims executive with clear understanding of policy wordings, shipping incoterms, Bill of Lading/Airway Bill terms and conditions i.e. air and shipping International Conventions, Singapore Logistics Association standard trading conditions. **Responsibilities**: Functional Responsibilities Handle marine claims from first notification to settlement and recovery, if necessary. Assignment of loss adjusters/surveyors to conduct investigation on our behalf. Technical knowledge and experience in handling marine cargo and liability claims and able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of policy wordings, clauses etc. Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills to identify the blockages during the claims process and initiate resolution. Good customer service skills and ability to react quickly to decisions ensuring excellent customer engagement and delivering the best outcomes. Contribute to the marine team’s success via continuous improvement on claim file handling with feedback and support. Align mindset with the team members to maintain adherence of best practice protocols for marine claims, consistent with global best practice. Demonstrate high level of competency with the use of paperless systems and e-filing of documentations into electronic folders. Ad-hoc duties. **Skills and Qualifications**: Minimum diploma qualification in any fields and basic insurance certifications i.e. BCP and Comm GI. Good experience of Marine claims handling experience, with key focus on cargo and marine liability claims. Expert knowledge of policy coverage and associated benefits and exclusions. Display excellent communication both written & verbal, and interpersonal skill, networking, influencing, and negotiating skills. Time management - ability to manage & prioritise workload and diary management. Team player. Able to work under pressure and meet tight datelines.
