Legal Operations Specialist, YouTube ID-5420


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in content moderation, law, policy, operations or related fields.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working with internet technologies, related policy and regulatory environments, content moderation, and support operations.
  • Experience with SQL and spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrated business judgment, combined with influencing and communication skills, and ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners across geographies.
  • Excellent communicator with great people and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, including using data to drive strategy and business action.
  • Ability to communicate in English and another local Asian language (i.e., Malay, Hindi, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, etc.) fluently to work with key regional partners across APAC.

Responsibilities

  • Process removal requests efficiently and accurately, including trademark issues, privacy issues, defamation issues, court orders, law enforcement requests and requests from government agencies.
  • Identify and drive process improvements and infrastructure solutions to scale our operations and enhance operational quality.
  • Design and execute policy and guidance development and implementation, and engage with cross-functional partners to drive changes.
  • Be available for occasional remunerated on-call coverage during the weekend (~1-2 times per quarter).
  • Respond to internal and external customer inquiries regarding YouTube's legal removals processes. Review graphic, controversial and sometimes offensive video content.
