All our internship placements include the following:

  • Opportunities to engage with stakeholders and vendors
  • Optimize project reporting to ensure stakeholders are kept informed in a timely and sustainable manner
  • Manage own projects, guided by the Work Supervisor
  • Prepare briefing notes and presentations for meetings, which may include meeting with Star Alliance Member Airline representatives
  • Organize and analyse large amounts of quantitative and qualitative industry statistics and data to support Star Alliance strategic activities
  • Propose improvements to enhance existing processes, databases and tools
  • Produce fast, qualified and unbiased analysis and reports to enable informed alliance and partnership decisions
  • Deliver weekly and monthly reports to managers and directors as required
  • Support delivery of business cases for new initiatives or product enhancements for key Star Alliance products

Functions offering internship opportunities:

Marketing & Communications

  • Support the quarterly marketing campaign planning and execution
  • Assist the brand management function and oversee development of marketing collaterals
  • Interact with the advertising and brand agencies on day-to-day jobs
  • External Communications - Assist the manager in creating media assets which accompany media briefings
  • Internal Communications – Assist in conceptualising and executing communication assets for Star and member airline employees.
  • Present performance reports to managers and directors as required

Booking Experience

  • Engage carriers and manage key product adoption tracker
  • Assist the development and work with data experts to create an executive dashboard view of the product adoption tracker
  • Support central measurement of carrier compliance
  • Monitor assigned project activities
  • Support administrative tasks as required

Airport Experience

  • Assist in planning and coordinating meetings with product experts
  • Support research on passenger behaviour and airport trends
  • Collaborate with Members to enhance passenger experience
  • Analyse data to identify areas for improvement for airport experience products – biometrics, automations, baggage
  • Support compliance measurements and support carriers with day-to-day inquiries
  • Support administrative functions as required

Membership

  • Support the management of the Star Alliance Membership Portfolio of Full Star Alliance Members, Connecting and Intermodal Partners
  • Prepare and enhance materials for the Membership Liaison and Quality Committee, a key governance forum
  • Develop, implement, and maintain collaborative working procedures between Members and the Star Alliance management organization
  • Support the ongoing maintenance of the intra-alliance collaboration tool (StarDesk)
  • Support and monitor the implementation of business objectives and governance guidelines into day-to-day processes with Product Managers
  • Collaborate on the implementation and publication of Star Alliance Core Values & Standards and the Customer Reference Guide
  • Continuously analyse compliance measurement tools and platforms used by Star Alliance members Assist in the documentation process and lifecycle management of the Quality Assurance Program of member airline audits and passenger journey inspections

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Aviation Management, Business or any related field
  • Able to commit to a full-time internship from September 2025 to April 2026 (other durations will be considered on a case-by-case basis)
  • Effective communication and relationship management skills
  • Strategic and analytical thinking abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multicultural environment
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and able to prioritize multiple tasks
  • All selected candidates will be required to provide a letter from their school recognizing the internship as part of their school requirements.
