Role Name: E-commerce Assistant - Amazon & Shopify Specialist

Schedule:

  • Part-time (20 hours/week minimum)

  • Mon–Fri, Flexible between 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST

Join a growing small engine parts and lawnmower equipment company that's expanding their digital presence across multiple channels. You'll play a crucial role in scaling their Amazon store operations while supporting their existing website and brick-and-mortar business. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of e-commerce operations, work with product catalog management, and help drive significant growth in their online sales channels. You'll be working with an established business that values expertise and is committed to doing things the right way to avoid issues with Amazon's strict requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Navigate and revamp Amazon store catalog with proper product organization

  • Conduct ASIN research to identify optimal product listings and opportunities

  • Vet products for Amazon compliance and marketplace suitability

  • Enter products into Amazon system correctly to avoid platform issues

  • Manage day-to-day online store operations across Amazon and Shopify platforms

  • Handle catalog and inventory management across e-commerce channels

  • Create and optimize product descriptions for better visibility and conversion

  • Monitor store performance and resolve issues for 30+ days post-launch

  • Provide post-load support and ongoing maintenance of product listings

  • Assist with customer service inquiries from online customers

  • Support general administrative tasks and file management as needed

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working with Amazon Seller Central and Shopify platforms

  • Strong background in e-commerce operations and catalog management

  • Knowledge of ASIN research and Amazon marketplace best practices

  • Understanding of Amazon's compliance requirements and listing guidelines

  • Experience with inventory management systems

  • Ability to write compelling product descriptions

  • Customer service experience for handling online inquiries

  • Administrative skills for file management and general support tasks

  • Marketing understanding for basic product positioning and outreach

Scope:

  • Minimum 3-month commitment with potential for long-term ongoing work

  • Available in both full-time (40 hours/week) and part-time (20 hours/week minimum) arrangements

  • Primary focus on Amazon store expansion and optimization

  • Secondary support for Shopify website operations

  • Occasional customer service support for online channels

  • Administrative support as business needs arise

  • Work closely with business owner on strategic e-commerce decisions
