Staple is hiring an Associate Product Manager (APM) with prior professional experience in product management or a closely related technical role. We’re looking for someone who has worked cross-functionally with engineering, design, and business teams, understands how software is built, and is ready to grow into a core product role.
This role is ideal for someone who has already had a hands-on role in the product development lifecycle - such as a Junior PM, or Software Engineer with strong product instincts - and is looking to sharpen their product skills in a structured and fast-growing team environment. You’ll work directly with Product and Engineering leads to deliver features, improve product quality, and support customer needs.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior PMs, developers, and designers to define and prioritize product features
- Translate client and stakeholder requirements into clear PRDs and user stories
- Support and manage day-to-day development workflows: backlog grooming, sprint planning, and engineering coordination
- Track product metrics and development progress to ensure on-time delivery
- Proactively identify and solve blockers in collaboration with engineering and QA
- Communicate feature progress and timelines to internal stakeholders and occasionally to clients
- Contribute to internal initiatives related to AI chat features and UI/UX experiences
What We’re Looking For
- 2-4 years of professional experience in product management or a closely related role (e.g., Software Engineer, QA Analyst, Business Analyst)
- Solid understanding of how software products are built and released — ideally in a SaaS or B2B environment
- Experience collaborating within cross-functional teams and working closely with engineers
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Git, Postman, and RESTful APIs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of Agile or Kanban methodologies
- Self-starter mindset and eagerness to learn and grow within a product organization
Bonus Experience
- Previous experience as a Associate Product Manager at a tech company
- Familiarity with accounting workflows, especially accounts payable/receivable
- Experience working with AI-based tools or integrating LLMs into products
- Technical background or education in Computer Science or related fields
- Understanding of Git Flow and modern development practices
