Clinical Coder (Medical Records Office) [AWS + VB | West] ID-6099
Responsibilities:
Primary (80%)
-
DRG Coding Completion
- Accurately complete DRG coding for all cases.
- Ensure timely coding of all inpatient and day surgery discharges for submission to the Ministry of Health (MOH).

Timeliness and Accuracy
- Maintain a 100% coding completion rate within 14 days.
- Keep coding error rates below 4%.

Handling Inquiries and Clarifications
- Seek clarifications from clinicians on ambiguous cases.
- Identify and report any missing or incomplete medical documentation required for coding.
- Provide necessary DRG codes and respond to queries from CPFB and/or insurers within the given timeframe.

Audit and Quality Control
- Conduct basic internal audits to verify coding accuracy.
- Ensure all coding practices align with established procedures and standards.
Secondary (20%)
- Perform any other tasks or projects as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements:
- Foreign MBBS, Nursing, or other healthcare-related degrees; or Diploma in Nursing or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in hospital coding preferred.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, collaborative, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding.
