Key Responsibilities
Conduct excavation work safely and efficiently – Operate excavators for roadside and manhole excavation. Sometimes conduct excavation work on construction building projects.
Conduct regular equipment checks and maintenance – Ensure maintenance of excavators and other equipment. For example, mobile the excavator parts at the beginning of each day.
Adhere to PUB rules and Safety Rules – Adhere to appropriate safety rules as per WSH rules during work. Adhere to PUB rules during excavation work.
Coordinate with site supervisor and engineer – Stay up to date with supervisor and company approved work updates to complete work on time.
Report problems or safety hazards – Immediately inform supervisor if there is any equipment malfunction or safety issue.
Working according to a fixed schedule – Working regularly from 8 am to 5 pm (Monday-Saturday). Never taking MC repeatedly, always supporting the company.
Working overtime (if necessary) – Working in exchange for additional wages if there is an opportunity for additional work. Cooperating to meet the project deadline.
Proving licenses and experience – Displaying excavator and PUB licenses and submitting videos of previous work. Add a video message to your CV as previous work experience.
Assisting in excavation work in new building projects – Completing the necessary excavation work in new construction projects. The company mainly does excavation work, so continuing excavation work on any work site.
Adhering to company policies – Maintaining the rules and regulations and work standards of Hung Yao Sheng Engineering. Complete the work according to the work schedule and record them. Later, submit them to the company.
Eligibility & Requirements
Experience
Candidates must have a minimum of 1-2 years of practical experience as an excavator operator. Experience in road excavation, manhole construction or building site excavation will be preferred. The company only hires workers with proven experience.
Essential License
All candidates are required to possess an Excavator Operator Certificate and a Singapore PUB (Public Utilities Board) approved license. Applicants without these licenses will not be considered.
Specialized Work Skills
Applicants should be proficient in roadside excavation, manhole construction and excavation for new building projects. Must have experience working in a variety of soil types and environments.
Age Limit
Candidates must be below 40 years of age to apply for this position. The company gives priority to hiring young and physically fit workers.
Proof of Work Ability
Each candidate will be required to submit a video clip of previous work to demonstrate their ability to operate an excavator. This is the main criterion for verification of skills.
Safety Knowledge and Practice
Workers must be knowledgeable about all safety regulations in the construction sector in Singapore. Plus points if you have WSH training. You must exercise utmost caution while working.
Nationality Restrictions
Only citizens of Bangladesh, India, Myanmar and Malaysia can apply for this position. The company will provide a Work Pass License for foreign workers.
Physical Ability
Candidates must be able to work hard for long hours. Must be able to work in a construction site environment. Must be attentive to the work at all times.
Regular Schedule
Working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday to Saturday). Candidates must be able to adhere to this schedule on a regular basis.
Ability to work overtime
Must be willing and able to work overtime as required by the project. Additional wages will be paid for overtime.
