ABOUT THIS POSITION
T. Rowe Price is seeking a Senior Cyber Defense Engineer with a focus on perimeter Cyber Defense systems to operate on a larger Global Cyber Defense team. In this position, you will leverage several best-of-breed technologies while collaborating closely with various teams within our Cyber organization, and partner technology teams to safeguard T. Rowe Price's digital boundaries. You will join a team of high-performing Cyber Defense engineers who are continuously striving for the highest standards to ensure the security of the firm's data, network, and systems with the overall goal of preventing threats before they enter the network.

ROLE SUMMARY
- Leverage event data within a SIEM to analyze, drive risk reduction activities and assist with larger troubleshooting efforts.
- Articulate and translate cyber security and technology risks to effectively communicate remediation.
- Possess the ability to autonomously execute tasks and make informed decisions with mínimal supervision.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

Required
- 4+ years of relevant experience in Cyber Security, Network Security, or related information technology field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of core infrastructure capabilities: operating systems, networking, identity, and access.
- Deep understanding of IPv4, TCP/IP, low-level networking, protocols, and TCP/UDP ports.
- Working understanding of operating within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience leveraging a SIEM, such as Splunk, to facilitate engineering and operations efforts.
- Experience operating within a demanding operational environment.

Preferred
- 3+ years of direct experience maintaining and engineering perimeter Cyber Defense systems in the Financial Services industry.
- Experience with operating on a Global Cyber Defense team, working independently.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills, particularly in conveying complex information clearly.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, PCNSE or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
